Launch of the WCO Harmonized System 2007 - Brussels, 26-27 September 2006 The World Customs Organization (WCO) will be organising another of its successful series of Customs Business Meetings: Event: Launch of the WCO Harmonized System 2007 Venue: WCO Headquarters, Brussels Date: 26-27 September 2007 Website: click here Programme: click here Given that the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS) is currently used by more than 200 countries and Customs or Economic Unions around the world, it is now recognised as one of the most successful instruments ever developed by the WCO. This international goods nomenclature is used to identify and code goods traded internationally. This is certainly one event that all players involved in international trade cannot afford to miss! Aim: For the first time, the WCO is organising an authoritative international forum to explore the HS and in particular, the major amendments contained in its 2007 version which becomes effective from 1 January 2007. These amendments, which will impact positively on the international trade environment, include the latest developments in technology, changes in global trade patterns, environmental and social concerns, and of course the needs of users.
