AVIALL TO DISTRIBUTE SIERRACIN TRANSPARENCIES FOR BUSINESS AIRCRAFT
Aviall Services, Inc. and Sierracin Corp. have signed an agreement that makes Aviall an official global supplier and distributor of Sierracin's business aircraft transparencies.
Sierracin is a premier OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of transparencies for business aviation and also provides windshields, windows and related products for military, large commercial and regional aircraft. Sierracin invented the first composite windshield in 1959, launching a new era of stronger, lighter-weight transparencies. The company has maintained its leadership position by providing windshields, windows and canopies that meet all requirements for high-performance aircraft.
Aircraft supported by Aviall in this new relationship with Sierracin include Bombardier Global Express, Bombardier Challenger, Bombardier Learjet 31A/35/36 and 45, Cessna 402/404 and 414/421, Cessna 500/550 Citation, and Raytheon/Beech 60 Duke.
Parts included in the agreement include heated windshields and cockpit side windows, unheated windshields and cockpit side windows, and other aircraft windows.

Manufacturing operations and company headquarters for Sierracin are located in Sylmar, California. The company has complete design and engineering capabilities, and its offerings include new manufacture, repair and overhaul of glass, acrylic and polycarbonate transparencies for aircraft. Its customers include airframe manufacturers, U.S. and other governments, airlines and charter aircraft operators worldwide, and third-party aircraft maintenance facilities and bases (MROs and FBOs).
