Senstar announce a new hybrid intrusion detection and intelligent lighting system, and the upcoming release of video management software

 

Senstar have introduced two new products – the Senstar LM100™ hybrid perimeter intrusion detection and intelligent lighting system, and Senstar Symphony™ 7.1 video management software (formerly Aimetis). 

 

“Senstar’s commitment to innovation means we are continuously exploring new technologies and evolving our existing product offerings to address changing security environments,” said Senstar’s VP of Product Management Justin Schorn. “As a world’s first of its kind product, the Senstar LM100 has been receiving a great deal of interest from the perimeter security market, and the new features of Symphony 7.1 help to improve ease of use for our customers.”

 

The Senstar LM100 combines two key security functions in one cutting-edge product, acting as a powerful deterrent against intruders by detecting and illuminating them at the fence line. Optimized for use with surveillance camera systems, the Senstar LM100 provides localized, uniform, configurable lighting along the fence line. Uniform coverage lets cameras operate with a higher dynamic range, ensuring objects and people are illuminated while avoiding the generation of dark silhouettes in front of bright backgrounds. Each LM100 luminaire also includes built-in accelerometer technology to detect any attempt to cut, climb or lift the fence fabric. Luminaires communicate with each other over a wireless self-healing mesh network to relay information to the local security system (such as sirens and cameras) and/or to a networked security management system.

 

Senstar Symphony 7 is the new benchmark for intelligent video management software (VMS) allowing for control of an entire video surveillance system from one central location. Users can connect and configure cameras, monitor open spaces, implement video analytics, and use centralized cloud management tools for multi-site management.
