Rockwell Collins launches new ARINC Cyber Security Operations Center offering to protect critical infrastructure around the world

Rockwell Collins is addressing the growing concern over cyberattacks on critical infrastructure with a new service that helps organizations establish onsite or hosted Cyber Security Operations Centers (CSOC).

"Critical infrastructure is the backbone of our nation's economy," said Jeffrey Johnson, staff vice president, Surface Transportation and Critical Infrastructure for Rockwell Collins. "Yet many organizations lack the technical expertise and resources to monitor their own networks 24 hours each day. This offering addresses that need by helping organizations such as airports, nuclear power plants and railroads establish a dedicated onsite or hosted center equipped with the right cybersecurity technologies, equipment and expertise."

For organizations looking to expand their internal capabilities, Rockwell Collins will design and build onsite CSOC solutions which include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies. The company also provides hosted cybersecurity solutions from its 24/7/365 operations center that monitor, warn and proactively engage in countermeasures to cyberthreats for critical infrastructure around the world.

"We are using our experience in creating and managing high-availability private networks that airports, railways, nuclear power plants and emergency responders count on each day to connect and transfer their critical data and our network services to provide new cybersecurity services that ensure our customers' data is secure at all times," continued Johnson.

Rockwell Collins currently provides physical security to approximately 70% of all nuclear power plants in the United States and has proven expertise in complying with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) stringent regulations requiring nuclear facilities to demonstrate that their critical systems are protected from cyberattacks.
