Land Border between Spain and Gibraltar reinforced security through the adoption of Automated Border Control
La LÃnea de la Concepción, a strategic Entry and Exit point of the Schengen area, separating Spain and Gibraltar, has implemented an Automated Border Control solution to enhance security procedures that will strengthen the perimeter, and also to facilitate clearance to a large number of people crossing the border every day.
Deployed by Vision-Box for the Spanish Ministry of Interior and the National Police Force, the new Automated Border Control solution reinforces traditional manual procedures with an effective and advanced self-service clearance process that includes the traveler's document authentication, as well as face and fingerprint recognition. The biometric data captured is matched to the info contained on the travel document.
