Southwest Microwave has announced the availability of a new INTREPIDâ„¢ Integration plugin from Gallagher

Southwest Microwave has announced the availability of a new INTREPIDâ„¢ Integration plugin from Gallagher, providing high-level interface between Gallagher Command Centre Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system and Southwest Microwave's INTREPID Series II perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS).

Initially developed to integrate Gallagher Command Center and the INTREPID MicroPointâ„¢ II Fence Detection System for prison perimeter security applications in Australia, the plugin also offers interface to INTREPID MicroTrackâ„¢ II Buried Cable Detection System and INTREPID MicroWave 330 Digital Microwave Link, providing the flexibility of centralized administration of any or all of the INTREPID Series II PIDS systems for a range of security-sensitive applications.

The interface was developed using Southwest Microwave's Remote Polling Module II (RPM II) SDK, an application layer protocol / hardware module package designed to provide network-based large or multi-site facilities with simplified high-level integration between head-end control or monitoring systems and INTREPID Series II sensors or auxiliary devices.

With the RPM II SDK protocol, only the RPM II hardware module is queried by the Gallagher Command Center application. The RPM II serves as Pollmaster - polling all INTREPID Series II sensors and auxiliary devices connected to its communications port for status, and communicating this information to Command Centre via TCP/IP network connection.

Gallagher's INTREPID Integration provides full alarm management, allowing operators to channel, view and manage active intrusion and diagnostic alarms from INTREPID sensors for appropriate action. Users can also tie camera presets to specific INTREPID detection zones to enable immediate visual assessment of alarms and optimize response time.
