Atlas Elektronik UK demonstrates the new Cerberus Mod2 Diver Detection system at NAVDEX
Atlas Elektronik UK is proud to be supporting the first NAVDEX event by demonstrating the new low cost, light weight version of the iconic Cerberus Diver Detections system, the Cerberus Mod 2. This will be the first time the system has been demonstrated at an international exhibition of this calibre.
The Cerberus Mod 2 Portable Diver Detection Sonar (PDDS) is the latest addition to Atlas Elektronik's growing portfolio of security products and its construction provides the world leading protection of the original system in a highly portable and flexible package. Designed to be much smaller and lighter, the new system meets the demands of both portable and ship-borne applications.
Its long range of up to 1800 metres diameter detection provides a maximum time to respond and together with the reliable automatic detection, classification and tracking provides you with reliable alerting of multiple underwater targets with very few false alarms. The offshore unit, the cable and operator work station all weigh under 25kg making it a truly man portable and easy to deploy system.
The unit is able to provide the same diver detection performance as the original Cerberus system which is renowned for its world class performance and as being the universal DDS benchmark. Designed into a smaller, lighter package, the system promises the performance of the original system at an affordable
price.
