At DSA, ECA will be presenting SIMBA 455, a System for Imaging and Bathymetry for carrying out missions such as Hydrographic & Oceanographic surveys

ECA S.A. is, with more than 800 systems sold worldwide, the uncontested leader in Unmanned Underwater Vehicles for Mine Warfare.

At DSA, ECA will be presenting SIMBA 455, a System for Imaging and Bathymetry for carrying out missions such as Hydrographic & Oceanographic surveys. This multi-purpose vessel is produced in cooperation with STX, an expert in the design of hydrographic and survey ship. The vessel is designed to embark ECA’s Unmanned Vehicles such as the Autonomous Unmanned Underwater Vehicle ALISTER, the Unmanned Surface Vehicle INSPECTOR, and the Inspection ROVs H300/H1000.
In order to provide a complete solution, ECA has recently acquired TRITON IMAGING Inc., specialized in acquisition and post processing for imagery and bathymetry applications. The company benefits of prestigious client references: the Australian Navy, the autonomous harbor of Los Angeles and the Finnish Navy for instance.

ECA will also show a model of OLISTER MIDS (Mine Identification and Disposal System) for relocation, identification and destruction of ground and moored mines. The system has already been sold to the Malaysian Navy.

ECA announced recently the new Unmanned Surface Vehicle INSPECTOR. Easily reconfigurable, this surface platform is capable of carrying a large number of underwater sensors such as Side Scan Sonar and Multi-Beam Echo Sounder as well as Arial sensors (night/day video camera and infrared sensors).

This allows a large range of missions in manually or remotely controlled mode: Mine Countermeasures (MCM), Littoral and Inshore Hydrographic and Oceanographic operations, Shallow and Very Shallow Water survey and inspection, Coastal and Port security, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).

ECA EN, already working for the Malaysian Navy, is specialized in systems and equipment for submarines, such as steering consoles, power converters, equipment for maneuverability, propulsion systems and electric motors. ECA EN also provides degaussing/deperming and ranging systems.

ECA SINDEL is specialized in Naval Simulation Systems: fully Integrated Bridge Simulators, Generic Tactical Submarine Simulators and Anti Submarine Warfare Trainings Simulators. The later allow the creation of complex real-like tactical situations integrating the following platforms & targets: destroyers, frigates, submarines, helicopters, patrol Aircraft and moving targets.
