The equipment on show represents a cross-section of the categories of personal equipment currently in use with British and other NATO forces in Afghanistan, as well as with Special Forces teams around the globe.
Products include personal cooling systems, water cooling systems, mine detection kits, lightweight body amour, location marker balloons, survival kits, a new combat sleeping systems and camouflage cream. All the products on the stand are fundamental to the daily comfort, safety, survival and operational efficiency of the combat soldier. Many of these new products have been developed in conjunction with soldier modernization programs worldwide.
Our situational awareness system, TACCS, now integrates with BlackBerry phones (as well as other GSM phones and radios etc) which enhances it's operational capabilities and reduces its overall cost.
The wall breaking system for use in counter-terrorist operations as a non-explosive method of entry, has just been adapted to counter the growing piracy threat. As an anti-piracy system, The Buccaneer is highly effective as not only a maritime defense system without resorting to firearms or explosives but also as a survival system.
