ECA exhibit their latest generation Mine Killer K-STER at IMDEX 2009
ECA S.A. is, with more than 800 systems sold worldwide, the uncontested leader in Unmanned Underwater Vehicles for Mine Warfare. The company will exhibit the latest generation Mine Killer K-STER, an innovative one shot, disposable, small robot for the identification & destruction of subsea mines.
Also present is SIMBA 45, a System for IMaging and Bathymetry for carrying out missions such as Hydrographic & Oceanographic surveys. This multi-purpose vessel, designed in cooperation with RAIDCO Marine, is designed to embark the companies Unmanned Vehicles such as Autonomous Unmanned Underwater Vehicle ALISTER, Unmanned Surface Vehicle INSPECTOR, and the Inspection ROVs H300/H1000 etc.
ECA EN, specialized in command controls, power electronics and electric motors, promotes its range of products dedicated to surface ships and submarines. The offer includes steering consoles, converter sets, IPMS, variable speed drives, control engineering panels, equipment for maneuverability, monitoring, propulsion and converters, electric motors and Anti-mine Vessel Protection (degaussing, deperming and ranging systems).
ECA EN is also active in the field of retrofit. It has especially completed re-design of power function for one type of U209 class submarine and delivered a set of new 20KVA static converters to replace existing rotary converters for a major Navy.
ECA SINDEL, since 2006 part of the ECA Group, expert in Naval & Marine Simulation Systems, exhibits Virtual Ship Management System for Navigation Simulators including a fully integrated helmet providing bridge personnel view during manoeuvres and ASWTT, Anti Submarine Warfare Team Trainer, a complete multi-platform simulator focused on platform coordination and on single platform crew training.
Using the ECA-Sindel SonSim (Sonar Simulator) and a complex database system, it allows creating complex real-like tactical situations integrating the following platforms & targets: 2 destroyers, 2 frigates, 2 submarines, 2 helicopters, 1 patrol Aricraft and 100 moving targets.
