RESON release data from Shallow Water Mine Clearance trials at IDEX
RESON a company specialising in Underwater Acoustic Solutions have recently released data from Shallow Water Mine Clearance trials using a Commercial off the Shelf solution. Aimed at the Gulf Region Military Market, the small portable and easily deployed sonar system - the SeaBatâ„¢ 7128 - proved to be a reliable and successful sonar at detecting small objects at long range in shallow water.
A target dummy Manta mine was placed on the seabed at an unknown location, and on each pass the SeaBat 7128 deployed on a small harbour craft, located the object at ranges in excess of 80m in 5m water depth.
