IXSEA demonstrates Route Survey Systems at Euronaval 2008

IXSEA demonstrates its Route Survey Systems at EURONAVAL 2008, which takes place at Paris-Le Bourget exhibition center, from 27 to 31 October 2008. The systems consist of a full suite of sensors (sonars, multibeam echosounder, gradiometer and an acoustic positioning system) along with software which allows survey management, display and interpretation of all collected data.

Typical Route Survey Systems include:
• ELICS MK-5, high-resolution digital sonar designed for rapid environmental assessment, route survey and MCM missions.
• GRADIOMAGIS, IXSEA's new gradiometer, is a truly omnidirectional gradiometer designed to map unexploded ordnance or other small metallic objects.
• GAPS, the Global Acoustic Positioning System (GAPS) combines USBL, INS and GPS technologies.
• Third party multibeam echosounders.
• A full package of PC based exploitation software which allows survey management with a joint display and interpretation of all collected data.

"Recently, the Belgian Navy received delivery of a complete route survey system to be used on its fleet of mine hunters. This augurs well for the quality of IXSEA's survey systems," said IXSEA Sales Director, Eric Richaud.
