ORTEC Products Group Releases Latest Version of GammaVision-32

The ORTEC® business unit of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology (AMT) has released the latest version of GammaVision-32 Germanium Spectroscopy Analysis software. The new release, version 6.06, includes a new Analysis Engine known as ROI-32 that permits users to have a more "hands-onâ€? approach to spectral analysis. When using the ROI-32 engine, a user can pre-define a specific Region-of-Interest for one or many particular energy peaks within their analysis library.

The new version includes added "Hot Buttons that allow users to navigate the most-used functions of GammaVision with the click of a mouse. Along with these buttons, there is a new Create PBC function that enhances GammaVision's already impeccable user friendliness. Other additions to GammaVision-32 are changes to the methodology for calculation of Total Propagated Uncertainty (TPU) and an enhanced User Manual that permits greater ease of operation.
Last but not least, this latest software version has undergone a complete Verification and Validation by ORTEC engineers and meets the requirements of:

- ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001:2000 Quality System Requirements
- ASME/NQA-1-1989 Quality Assurance Program Requirements for Nuclear Facilities
- ASME/NQA-2a-1990 Quality Assurance Requirements of computer software for Nuclear Facility Application
