WINKELMANN - EOD SEARCH, COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE AND COUNTER-SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS
Winkelmann is the foremost provider of Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) equipment for the security and defence markets.
RAPTOR RXi
The Raptor RXi is an ultra-fast scanning countersurveillance receiver for quickly detecting surveillance transmitters.
The RXi scans from 10kHz to 26GHz in under 4 seconds, detecting even the briefest pulsed transmissions. Featuring a fast Core 2 Duo processor, its multiple software tools and demodulators detect frequency-hopping, burst mode and spread spectrum devices as well as analogue audio and video signals.
Two spectrum analyzer windows allow the user to simultaneously view the whole spectrum and zoom in on individual frequencies. The 'Waterfall' display mode gives an intuitive display of signals over time.
The RXi is designed to allow 24-hour continuous monitoring of the radio spectrum to detect remote-controlled devices. Using its built-in Ethernet port, the RXi can be operated remotely, allowing sites to be continuously monitored without the need for a site visit.
Modern ultra wideband (UWB) spread spectrum devices are challenging for a conventional receiver to detect. Its integrated, dedicated UWB receiver allows the RXi
to detect such devices easily.
The RXi is fully portable, operating either from an internal rechargeable battery or an external supply. Its integrated antenna system provides excellent wideband performance from 10kHz to 26GHz.
Applications include monitoring of all incoming and outgoing signals from military bases, radio monitoring by regulatory government authorities, Government Sweep Teams for internal and external security.
HAWK XTS
The HAWK XTS, a new non-linear junction detector (NLJD) developed by Winkelmann, has received wide acclaim.
The product detects improvised explosive devices (IEDs) containing electronic components such as remote control receivers, mobile phones, electronic timers, clocks, transceivers, electronic fuses and delayed-action units. It can also be used to detect buried weapons, ammunition, engineering mines and hidden arms caches.
With its rugged CNC-machined alloy construction, the XTS allows increased detection of IEDs for troops on all types of terrain, while offering high mobility, outstanding performance and ease of handling.
The device is equipped with the latest generation full-colour, high-contrast, active matrix display (AMOLED), featuring a 7.5 cm screen and single scroll wheel for operation of major functions. Two Lithium-Ion batteries provide 25 percent more operating time than previous models.
During the life of the NLJD, it may be deployed: on a range of domestic operations and non-combat operations such as peacekeeping missions; and on civil emergency tasks, where it can provide CBRN and IED search and support, to react to terrorism threats.
The device is successfully deployed in real military operations in Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan by bomb technicians, special forces, military and non military personnel.
