VIT wins security has won an award for its groundbreaking surveillance The ADS Security Innovation Awards 2012, sponsored for the third successive year by General Dynamics UK, have announced that VIT Security Group has won an award for its groundbreaking surveillance solution, the Longview 2. The awards were presented at a ceremony at Guildford Cathedral on 31st January, the entries having been judged by the Centre for Applied Science and Technology (CAST). The Longview 2 is a professional long range surveillance device which employs three-camera and dual lens technology to provide evidential quality images in situations of compromised visibility, near darkness (down to 0.00003lux) and at distances of up to 30km. Already in use by police, military and civilian forces in the UK and abroad, the Longview 2 responds to an urgent requirement in the defence and security market for the highest standard of visual verification possible in challenging environments. ADS is the trade organisation advancing the UK Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space industries.
