HAWKER PACIFIC FIRST TO SIGN FOR DUBAI 2003 HELICOPTER PAVILION Leading global aircraft sales and product support firm, Hawker Pacific, is the first company to sign up for the new Helicopter Pavilion at Dubai 2003, the international aerospace exhibition being held in December. “The Dubai air show is a major event on our calendar,� says Alan Parsons, Vice-President Aircraft Sales Helicopter Group, Hawker Pacific Airservices. “But the opening of a dedicated Helicopter Pavilion is the main reason for increasing our presence. “The pavilion will provide a focus for visitors directly involved in the rotary wing business. It will be a great working tool for Hawker Pacific and other companies involved in the expanding helicopter industry in the Middle East,� added Parsons. Hawker Pacific represents Bell Helicopter Textron and Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company (BAAC) in Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Oman. The market leader in integrated civil and military aerospace sales and product support in Australasia, Hawker Pacific has been established in the Middle East more than 25 years and also has extensive interests in South-East Asia. Dubai 2003 will be held at Airport Expo Dubai from 7-11 December. The helicopter pavilion will be located in the East Hall and individually branded. “We introduced the Helicopter Pavilion in response to industry demand and to enhance the profile of this emerging sector,� said Clive Richardson, Chief Executive, Aerospace Group, Fairs & Exhibitions. “Rapid growth in the Middle East helicopter sector is forecast, primarily due to replacement of offshore supply fleets, increased utilisation of helicopters by emergency services and greater use in civilian and military reconnaissance,� added Richardson. To date, over 200 exhibitors from 33 countries have already contracted for Dubai 2003.
