The MEOS is a stabilized remote controlled two axis day and night observation system with a unique open-faced structure allowing flexibility of use by incorporating various sensors according to the customer's specific needs. The MEOS has an option to be a gyro stabilized EO/IR system using a Gyro System Kit. CONTROP's LOROS Family includes the SPIDER-LR, SPIDER, MEOS, SPEED-V and CEDAR systems, all with the unique capability of fast panoramic scanning and automatic detection of moving targets, providing the systems a "passive optical RADAR" capability. The SPIDER-LR (Long Range) has been supplied to another customer in Asia for long range missions for border control and coastal protection. This very long range observation system incorporates a 1400mm IR Camera with X35 Continuous Optical Zoom Lens, a Daytime CCD Camera with zoom lens, daylight 1000mm Spotter Camera and a Laser Range Finder (LRF). Due to the gyro stabilization of the gimbals, the LOROS systems has also been deployed for mobile area surveillance and 24/7 force protection. These systems are used worldwide for automatic intruder detection by providing a "virtual fence" in many important applications including security of borders, coastlines, seaports and harbors, airports, critical infrastructures, sensitive sites and more.

SPEED-A for Surveillance on Aerostats and Balloons, Recently Supplied to Additional Customer

CONTROP's SPEED-A payload has been delivered to an additional customer for surveillance applications. The SPEED-A has unique capabilities which were specifically developed for use on tactical aerostats (balloons) due to its being a state-of-the-art gimbal system, with three gyro stabilized axes. In addition to the pitch and yaw traditional axes, the SPEED-A is also stabilized in the roll axis (which compensates for the roll movement of balloons). The powerful Continuous Optical Zoom Lens in the Thermal Camera ensures continual viewing of the target during zoom-in and zoom-out, as well as Image Enhancement features for low visibility conditions. The SPEED-A is also available with an optional Laser Range Finder (LRF). Weighing only 23 kg, the breakthrough SPEED-A camera payload is ideal for static balloons, providing long range performance capabilities.
