Chronos announces partnership with SEQ|TOR to distribute the J-ALERT Jamming Detector product in the UK Instant notification of GPS and GSM signal jamming by unlawful devices Counter Terror Expo, 25 April 2012 Stand G116 - Chronos Technology of Gloucestershire, UK is pleased to announce a new partnership with Danish company SEQ|TOR to distribute its J-ALERT GSM and GPS jamming detector product in the UK. The J-ALERT is an RF signal analyser that monitors cellular radio frequencies and GPS to determine if the target is actively jamming these signals. When the J-ALERT detects jamming in the cellular bands a corresponding LED will light to indicate the Received Signal Strength (RSS) of the jammer and which band is being jammed. When GPS L1 frequency and a cellular band is being jammed, a bar graph indication of jammer RSS from the jammer is displayed enabling tracking. If both a cellular band and GPS L1 are being jammed simultaneously or if a cellular band is being jammed, a beep will sound every 3 seconds to alert the operator that a jammer is in use. The J-ALERT also has a stereo jack on the back of the unit with contacts for triggering an external device such as a camera for taking pictures of license plates. The J-ALERT equipment enhances Chronosâ overall product offering in the GPS jamming market augmenting the existing handheld CTL3500 GPS jamming detector and the supporting research work being undertaken in the SENTINEL project which is developing a 24/7 GPS jamming detection and location capabilities.
