Boeing to participate for the first time at DIMDEX emphasizing the importance of the Middle East market to the key defence players.

According to analysts Forecast International despite the recent fall in oil prices, defence spending amongst GCC countries remains strong, primarily because of the threats posed by Iran and Syria. Combined GCC defense spending is expected to rise in 2011 by an additional 2.5 percent. Over the next five years, the greater Middle East defense market is projected to grow by over 11 percent, reaching nearly $120 billion by 2014.

Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined. Boeing, which has customers in more than 90 countries, will be joining many other leading manufacturers at DIMDEX

"To welcome a company of the size and caliber of Boeing further strengthens DIMDEX ‘s international reputation and affirms the status of DIMDEX 2010 as the gateway to the growing Middle East and North African market," says DIMDEX 2010 Exhibition Director Mr. Mohamad Nabhani.

DIMDEX 2010 – under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar and Deputy Commander of the Qatar Emiri Armed Forces - offers Boeing an excellent opportunity to promote a wide spectrum of the company’s latest defense technology products and capabilities to meet the needs of naval forces of the Middle East, Asia and North Africa.
