Advanced B727 EFB STC for navAero

navAero announces the achievement of the eleventh t•BagC22 Class 2 EFB STC – for the B727-100/200.

ST02648NY-D, issued February 04, 2010, is the eleventh STC issued for the t•Bag™C22 EFB. This certification brings B727 operators the ability to realize the benefits of using enhanced situational awareness information hosted and displayed on a Class 2 EFB platform that is certified for used in all critical phases of flight.

The B727 STC was architected with dual t•BagC22 Class 2 EFB systems. The certification architecture also includes Ethernet cross-connectivity between the dual independent EFB systems for data sharing. The installation provisions also includes an accessible Ethernet port on the flightdeck that allows connectivity of portable Ethernet-enabled devices such as a laptop computer or a printer to the EFB system.

navAero spokesperson, Ken Crowhurst, stated “We are tremendously excited about achieving this STC for our Class 2 EFB system into one of the world’s most enduring aircraft types. With the navAero t•BagTM C22 Class 2 EFB computer and display technology, B727 operators around the world now have the ability to bring glass-cockpit type technology into this aircraft. This STC gives these operators the ability to deploy our rugged hardware platform for running the most demanding and advanced electronic charting applications and other aviation software – all of which are designed to give them the technology to help improve their operational efficiency and increase their situational awareness."
